Terms of Service:

Each session is 50 minutes
-
For private paying clients payment is due prior to the start of each session

24 hours is required to cancel an appointment. Where missed appointments or less than 24 hours notice occurs. Clinician has the right to decline future services.

Clients are charged the regular fee for missed or late cancellations.

In-take documents are required to be completed before the first session (You will guided through this process).

When applicable, third party billing must be arranged prior to a first appointment. Please contact your HR department to determine if you qualify.

Adherence to Confidentiality with limitations as set out by legislation, which includes a duty to report risk of harm to children and PHIPA is also adopted.

It is important that you understand the issue of confidentiality and the limits of confidentiality, whcih is governed by Federal and Provincial legislations. Everything that you tell a counsellor/Therapist is confidential and will be kept in the strictest confidence; the fact that you are even attending appointments is confidential. There are, however, some exceptions to this, which are limitations and exclusion:s to confidentiality: (i) If there is a risk of harm to yourself or someone else, (ii) If a child is at risk of harm, (iii) if you are in a work situation that places yourself and others at risk of harm, or (iii) if records are subpoenaed by court of law. Services rendered by New Beginning Counselling Services can not be considered as an expert witness. Where medical attention is required please contact your medical practitionner or call 911. New Beginning Counselling Services does not provide crisis services to individuals.
